Our Philosophy

Galloping Gumnut Mobile Children’s Services acknowledge and respect the Wiradjuri people as the traditional owners of the lands on which we operate our Education and Care Services.

We believe that all families, regardless of location and circumstance, have a right to accessible and affordable quality education and care for their children.

We uphold the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, believing that children are unique, have the freedom to express themselves and are supported to develop a sense of agency.

Educators are committed to providing a child-led, inclusive, and sustainable environment; one in which children learn through play and have opportunities to explore, investigate and engage with the natural world.

The Service supports and values the building of strong community connections. We recognise and respect that all families are diverse and have their own culture and practices. Educators build on knowledge in relation to children’s home life to develop and maintain respectful and trusting relationships with children and families.

We believe that a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development is essential for the Service to continue to adapt to the changing needs of communities and the profession.
